NHS Private Services
The Health and Social Care Act 2012 increased the cap for income from private patients for NHS Hospital Trust from 2% to 49%. With heavily fixed overheads many NHS Hospitals are keen to attract private patients as a source of additional income.
Income generated from private patient referrals is used to support the care of patients within the NHS for the benefit of the community.
When requested to arrange medical treatment (in addition to private hospitals)TraumaCare always considers NHS hospital trust private patient units as an option. NHS hospitals can offer competitive quality of care for standard procedures (and for some of the more specialist treatments that may be provided at some NHS hospital centres of excellence).
We are proud to be supporting our local NHS hospital – Salisbury District Hospital (Wessex Rehabilitation).
